🔸To correlate the anatomy of vein with the varicosity and DVT.

🔸To know the different method of diagnosis for the defects in venous system of lower limb.

Factors helping the venous return

🔸Contraction of calf muscle (especially soleus)

🔸Presence of one way valves 

🔸Transmitted pressure from arterial pulsation

🔸Negative intrathoracic pressure
